E22 (Energy Storage Solutions) participates in the Total Photovoltaic Platform (LPT) research project, which aims to address problems of network integration of photovoltaic solar energy.
On Monday, December 17, our company completed the installation and implementation of a vanadium redox flow battery at the Institute IMDEA Energy, located in the Technology Park of Móstoles (Madrid). This battery is intended for R&D&I tasks, as part of the Total Photovoltaic Platform (LPT) project, and has a capacity of 5 kW.
This project aims to address many of the problems of network integration of renewable and photovoltaic solar energy in particular. Total Photovoltaic Platform (LPT) started its research activity in 2015, funded by the Ministry of Economy of Spain, and it is coordinated by E22 with cooperation from the Carlos III University of Madrid. The project is expected to continue until next year.
The Institute IMDEA Energy of Móstoles, which is part of the IMDEA institutes’ network of the Community of Madrid, was chosen as the location for developing the R&D&I activities of this project. Institute IMDEA Energy is known for conducting science research projects related to energy, with a clear focus on renewable energy and sustainability initiatives.
